For the first time in my life and am wishing I could send the children to school. I have invited a few of their friends over for tomorrow in hopes they will go out in the snow and play. We have a weeks worth of energy to burn!!!

Sports Update

Last weekend was the first games for the oldest three. Poor D was very sad that he is too young to play yet.

Bj seemed to really enjoy playing basketball and won the award for sportmanship. He was very good at defense, but did not understand that he did not have to guard anyone when his team had the ball. I felt a bit sorry for the kids paired up with him. He was stuck to those kids like glue no matter which side of the court they were on!

Braden really seemed to have fun as well. For the first time I saw him really listening to his coach. At one point his coach told him to keep his hands up when guarding someone and when his team had the ball to run and stand under the goal. For the entire game he kept those hands up even when standing under the goal. For those of you who had the pleasure of watching/hear about me in the Hendricks County Amazing Race, it reminded me of when I was being led around the plates of cheese! He did get a star for being the best defensive player on his team.

L is an Upward cheerleader (she is the short one in the picture). Tried my best to get her to play basketball, but a friend let it slip that there would be cheerleaders and there was no turning back. She is super excited and loves to recite her cheers. Only had one practice/game so I hear the same two cheers over and over and over and over and over...

So far the schedule isn't bad. Bj and L both have practice on the same night and time. B's practices are a half hour before the games. All games are on saturdays. Bj's are at 9 and most all of L and B's games are at 1pm , but a few of B's are at 2pm. With Ben working 3rd shift he is going to alternate getting to the morning or afternoon games because I was ready to pull my hair out after last saturday. D has a diagnosis of ADHD for a reason!

Snow Day!

We have had a busy snow day today! We spent the morning sledding then came in for lunch and hot strawberry/chocolate. Then we had some trampoline time (thanks Aunt Mary) and playing with balloons (thanks Great Aunt Becky). They should sleep well at naptime! They all decided they should go out and play some more after naps and then come in and play Wii (thanks Gma/Gpa!). It's rough being little isn't it?!

Update

Ok, so I haven't been on in quite a while. Christmas break was great, but busy. We had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas day. The kids were all very excited. It was so much fun watching their little faces. During the break my parents came down and helped us move the kids into different rooms. Now that L is 5 she can not share with her brother. So, the oldest moved into the largest and the two youngest got their own rooms. Everyone seems pretty happy with them, thankfully. Was a bit worried about it. The rooms all turned out very cute. I especially had fun making pink curtains! Now if I could just find the time to make her a quilt to match them. Maybe that will be my summer project!
