Preschool

Drew FINALLY started preschool last week. The lady called to tell me at 11:00. I think I shocked her because the first words out of my mouth were - "so can he start today?" Had him on the bus 30 minutes later! All he wanted to talk about when he got home was that he "got to ride the but TWO TIMES!" Gotta love that big twinkie! He is doing well. They have to have another child (friend of ours) hold his hand getting off the bus because he gets off running. He also has to hold his teacher's hand in the hallways because he wants to stop and look at everything. Pretty funny.

Here is the best update - WE LEAVE FOR FLORIDA TOMORROW!!! Yippeeeeeeeeeeee

Counting Down to Florida!

19 more days until we leave for Florida!!!! The kids and I along with my cousin, Leah and her oldest (5) will be driving down. We will meet her mom and Leah's youngest along with another cousin Diana and her baby who are all flying down. All eleven of us are going to pack into my parents' condo. My Dad has decided to go stay with my Grandma. Can you blame him?

Ben has to stay home due to work and school. He is going down without us at the end of April for PD Accident Reconstruction training. Last year they got a free behind the scences tour of Universal Studios. Must be rough!

More updates!

L continues getting better. Today was the first day we have seen tears. She was in a lot of pain when she woke up, but is playing/talking now that her meds have kicked in. Has already been warned twice to stop running this morning! I posted a pic of her in the recovery room. Ben took it on a odd angle, so no we weren't really sitting like that!

Am excited today for my BIL and SIL to bring over the newest addition to our family! Their first placement went to live with her Grandma last month. This little one came to them straight from the hospital and is a foster to adopt situtation as well. I believe this child will be 'fast tracked' meaning parental rights are already in the process of being terminated. Keeping our fingers and toes crossed!

Were back!

L put up a good front going into surgery. Afterwards she was rather pitiful, but is recovering. She asked for jello as soon as we got home so is feeling better already. She has to stay in bed or on a couch for 7 days. Not sure how well she will do with that one! Found out that she can not go back to school for 14 days - not the 7 I was originally told. I know that will not go over well either. Right now she is sleeping on the couch but made me promise she could have pudding when she wakes up.

Surgery

Little L will be having her surgery tomorrow morning. Please keep her in your prayers. She wanted grape jello, choc pudding, applesauce, and yellow gatorade. We just finished making the jello and pudding so are ready to go!
We have decided to not even try and take L to the circus. Her pain tolerance is too high so makes me nervous that she wouldn't tell me if there was a problem. She has been consoled with being able to have a special 'date night' with Ben after she is better.
