Where's the Snow?

When he left for school there was plenty of snow for him to play with while waiting for the bus. By the time he got home this was the last patch of snow. He stood there for several minutes with a confused look on his face. It was too funny!

I have been dealing with the school system for two months now trying to get D into preschool. Finally got to the LAST meeting and OOPS! they left one paper out of the packet that only a birthparent can sign. I had thought it was safe (my mistake) and told D he would be going to school Monday. Now we have yet another delay. Thankfully we have a good relationship with their birthmom and our social worker is going to overnight the paper to her and she agreed to overnight it back. With the weekend falling in the middle am hoping to get it all settled by tueday at the latest. Keeping my fingers crossed...

Wednesday L will be having her tonsils/adnoids removed and tubes placed in her ears. She has had strep 3 times in 3 months so hope this will keep her healthy. Sad news is that I had bought circus tickets several months ago and can you guess when it is for? The same night! Poor L. I am hoping she will be medicated and feeling no pain so she can go too. She has been so excited about it. We are very lucky that Uncle Matt has agreed to be on standby and go with Ben and the boys if us girls need to stay home. Surgery is the 4th at 0930 so please pray for a safe surgery and quick/full recovery.

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day! Ben and I went out last night to celebrate. We went to Reb Lobster for dinner and I embarrassed Ben by whipping out a coupon! Hey, four bucks is four bucks! Saw the movie Mall Cop and it was pretty darn funny. Was a great date night. Especially the part where we left the kids with our awesome sitter!

Back to School - part two

Anyway, after 5 days off of school we are finally back to school. This was the first morning in a long time that B did not complain about getting up and going to school. I was a bit shocked! Sadly, I did not get to sleep in on a single snow day! Three the children have blasted internal clocks that wake them up by 7am. D sometimes is up at 6:30. B doesn't have an internal clock, he just has his brother in the same room with him. I haven't figured out how to get through NOT to wake the other up!

Kids were up this morning at 6:45am asking to play Wii. Pretty sad. And NO they did not get to. I will usually let them play for an hour somewhere between 10:00- 11:30 and then again in the evening for a bit. Can't wait it gets warm outside!
